ethos
The
entire ethos of arc throughout treatment is one of positive regard,
encouragement, respect, understanding and tolerance. All that we do is
based on this ethos rather than criticism and blame. All our clients are treated with courtesy, empathy and honesty.

assessment
All
Schemes of Treatment and individual Scheme Modules have detailed assessment
procedures and assessment indicators so that the treatment and delivery
of treatment can be monitored and developed on a continuous basis.
arc
recognise that addiction is complex and personal, so one strategy cannot
suit all. Therefore many different recovery techniques will be used in
order to change the mindset of the client from addiction to recovery,
from negative to positive and from turmoil to peace.

aims
and objectives
arc
treatment is a highly structured holistic treatment covering proven recovery
techniques.

Twelve-step
recovery is the most proven recovery technique from alcoholism and addiction,
with the highest success rate of any solution. As a result of this, we
feel that we would not be best serving our clients by not exploring valuable
twelve-step recovery techniques. We do however,
make sure that the shaming and critical element is rigorously
avoided. We also are aware that addiction is an extremely complex and
personal condition, which for many requires other recovery techniques to be
employed.
Treatment
is delivered using tried and tested techniques alongside new and pioneering
methods - e.g.

The ultimate aim is to treat the whole person while at the same time distinguishing
the condition of addiction as separate to all other issues, thereby allowing
people to live clean and sober despite internal issues and external problems.
The
treatment is highly structured and arc's policy is to attain the
highest standards of professionalism and care. In order
for us to reach our clients we embrace humour. We regard the development of a very strong sense of humour as an extremely important
recovery tool. We do not support an attitude
of authority, we encourage an attitude of freedom, passion and fun.
